GuildWorks, has been working with the Portland Business Alliance, to provide various backdrops and projection screens for their Annual Meetings, since 2005. Below is a review of all the past years work. If you start from the beginning you will see that the stages became more elaborate as they received outstanding feedback from patrons and sponsors year after year. GuildWorks is known for our outdoor festival work but we also specialize in tension fabric backdrops, projection screens and artistic focal accents for indoor conventions, trade show, corporate events, as well as business interiors. You will also notice that in later years, the podium becomes much more refined and in line with the rest of our stage fabric, this is because we designed a new sleek podium for the PBA, starting in 2010.

GuildWorks has several long standing clients. Since 2005, the PBA has stood out within our corporate clients. We are proud to be involved in their annual breakfast meeting year after year, providing various proscenium stages similar to the one above, which features an impressive backdrop, three projection screens and two custom podiums. More about the Portland Business Alliance:
Advocating for Commerce + Building Community + Supporting Regional Prosperity
That is what the Portland Business Alliance stands for. The Portland Business Alliance is Greater Portland’s Chamber of Commerce and is the voice of business in the region. As the voice of business, the Alliance advocates for issues that support commerce, community health and the region’s overall prosperity.
With more than 1,850 member companies, representing 375,000 business people in Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas counties in Oregon and Clark County in Washington, the Alliance is the region’s leading business organization.
The Alliance’s mission to promote and foster an environment in the Portland region that attracts, supports and retains private-sector jobs, spurs economic vitality and enables quality educational opportunities for the region’s residents. In pursuit of that mission, the Alliance advocates for business at all levels of government and also offer a variety of networking events and professional development opportunities to connect and foster growth in our region’s business community.
Since 2005, GuildWorks has proudly, provided classy- and classical- backdrops for the Portland Business Alliance Annual Meeting. On Tuesday March 19, 2015 we presented yet another spectacular display. In one long day of installation, we installed eight tension fabric elements (three projection screens, three backdrops, and two connecting panels) and five flowing, pleated drapery elements. The draperies provided a softening counterpoint to the sleek curves that characterize our usual style.
This year’s keynote speaker, Tamara Lundgren, President and CEO of Schnitzer Steel, spoke to a room of over 1000 people, representing over 400 Portland Businesses, with a focus on international trade and how Portland businesses can influence and benefit from it.
While the fabric installation wasn't the focus of the meeting, we like to think it provided a beautiful context for the representatives of progress in our city to consider how we can collectively work toward the bigger, better and more sustainable-- a reminder that the aesthetic results of a set of choices is also important to keep in mind. And even if not everyone came away with that (admittedly subtle) message, we're happy to be adding beautiful things to events like this one!

We are proud to announce and present the ongoing success of the Portland Business Alliance Annual Breakfast Meeting 2014. GuildWorks has been working with the PBA since 2005 and has once again presented a stellar backdrop and projection screens. This year we applied a new style, by folding and tensioning bands of fabric, to gesture the iconic PBA logo. We also designed two lectern covers to facilitate guest speakers and bring an elegant look to the stage in line with the dramatic sweeping fabric backdrop. The results are a refreshingly bold corporate look, that left attendees with a lasting impression.
GuildWorks has been working with the Portland Business Alliance for many years to bring a unique look and style to the Oregon Convention Center. The visual presentation has only become more spectacular year after year. The Annual Breakfast Meeting is the largest networking event of the year, which is to be held April 29, 2014. As one of the state's largest gatherings of business professionals and civic leaders it attracts around 1,000 business professionals and features a prominent keynote speaker. This year the PBA welcomes Bernard Tyson CEO, Kaiser Permanente, who is to speak on national healthcare reform.
