Now that we’re envisioning emerging from COVID and the possibility of in-person events are coming into view (hooray!), future events are starting to populate late summer and fall calendars. If you’re a corporate event planner who is looking for ideas to create a memorable comeback event, you may want to consider these three things:
Space & Airflow:
Even though it’s becoming increasingly safe to gather, we won’t be gathering as we have in the past. Historically, corporate events were packed into luxurious ballrooms or convention centers but in the days to come, ample space and good air flow will be necessary to ensure safety.
It is possible to set up a comfortable and classy corporate event space outside! While this corporate event was pre-pandemic, it demonstrates how easy it is to create an appealing area with plenty of room for teams to conveniently engage.
Planning your event outside means that the elements must be considered, but don’t stick your people in a humid wedding tent! Luckily, the design of fabric tensile structures and the materials used address all sorts of weather conditions from rain shelter to sun shade.
This project for the world’s largest tech conference was held in late fall when rain was expected. Signaling as a gateway to the event, rain was directed away from participants through thoughtful design. In addition, the structure used ETFE, a glass-like material that allows light to pass, making the space bright during the day and sparkle at night.
Everyone has been cooped up for about a year now and away from interacting with your corporate brand. Your inaugural gathering is a chance to create a unique space for people to experience and enjoy!
