We have one position currently open for a tension structure Drafter in Portland, Oregon. This position will report to the GuildWorks Design Lead.
Overview: The Drafter will produce professional, high-detailed 3D models and 2D drawings and construction documents for architectural and engineering design/analysis along with fabrication and installation documents. Over the duration of employment, this role will include understanding GuildWorks’ production and installation to gain a more complete understanding of our overall process. Minimum Requirements:
Experience drafting and preparing documents in AutoCAD.
Must have a great grasp on technical skills and visualizing in 3D.
Solid understanding and experience in Rhino/Grasshopper, with the ability to build and use complex scripts.
Related work experience is a factor in our consideration.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Follow direct supervision from our Design Lead.
Produce 3D models and 2D drawings and construction documents.
Ability to learn new software programs.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Hard-working, detail-oriented problem solver.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience working in both Mac and Windows environments.
Available to work longer hours as needed.
Associates degree (or a degree-in-process) in architecture or engineering or equivalent related experience.
Experience with structural installation.
Ability to work in Sketchup.
Revit experience is a plus.
The ability to work in SolidWorks is a major bonus.
Experience working with the Google platform.
