PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION To perform all necessary on-site tasks required in order to safely and completely install a GuildWorks’ tensile fabric structure.
GOALS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for following specific instructions for the safe installation of fabric structures, including steel cables and hardware, fabric membranes, and necessary rigging and support structures.
Be in compliance with company, state and federal safety procedures.
Work safely at height (often 50 feet plus off the ground) in MEWP’s (Mobile Elevated Work Platforms) and/or on scaffolding, roof tops, ladders or Ropes.
Receive training and follow all rules regarding heavy equipment including MEWP’s, Forklifts, Telehandlers, etc.
Understand and follow all standard and specific rigging conventions involving appropriate use of hardware, knots, mechanical advantage systems and other tools.
Follow exact rigging techniques as determined by on site Lead Rigger.
Consult with the Installation Supervisor/Foreman or Lead Rigger before using any tools that you are not familiar with to ensure 100% safe rigging at all times.
Follow all required procedures involving cleaning, preparing and maintaining all equipment, gear, and tools.
Concise, clear communications with the rigging and installation teams.
Show up before the start of work shift 100% ready to work, with required PPE and tools required to do the job.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED.
In-depth experience (3+ years) working with rigging equipment, heavy equipment, and power tools.
Experience building, rigging, and/or construction Rigging, Tree Climbing, Boom Lift Operation, Fabric Rigging experience.
Have completed OSHA 10 training and familiarity with OSHA safety standards.
Ability to read plan, elevation, and section drawings.
Physically able to bend, push, reach, stand, stoop, turn, walk, climb, read/see over the duration of an assigned shift.
Have strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable with receiving/executing precise directives in both calm and challenging work scenarios.
Ability to work outdoors and in adverse weather conditions when necessary.
Be able to travel domestically and out of state.
Be able to work longer hours, weekends, or overnight when necessary.
Must be able to commit to the assigned project through completion.
Compensation commensurate with experience.
