Camperdown

The Camperdown Plaza Shade is a tribute to the vibrant heritage of a once-thriving fabric mill. This project came to life through a powerful collaboration: the developer's pursuit of functional art, Beau Welling Design's landscape expertise, and GuildWorks who, together with engineering experts, realized this endeavor. Meticulous planning and anchoring into surrounding buildings achieved an elegant and airy presence and GuildWorks’ shade design ensured protection from the elements through pre-tensioned fabric and cable networks

In this design, two independent arrays of tensile membrane fabric structures adorn the plaza. To the south, diamond fabric panels fan around a central mast, casting a veil over the stage and the plaza below. The north side boasts a smaller array, visually harmonizing with its larger counterpart across the plaza.

The Camperdown Plaza shines brighter than ever. The sentiment of the developer echoes resoundingly: "The Art-Shade brings life to this space, making it truly come alive."
